Summary: Temperature vs. Latitude

Temperature vs. Latitude

Temperatures increase if we are getting closer to the Equator - everybody knows that, but how do we prove it? The latitude and max temperature for 500 randomly selected cities were determined and printed on a scatterplot. This shows clearly a 'peak' between -10 and +20 degrees of latitude.

Wind speed, Humidity, and Cloud cover were also plotted agains Latitude, but in these cases there is no recongizable correlation.
